Ingredients

  • 1 cup Amish Friendship Bread starter (Fred)
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Get a Little Fred, Give a Little Bread!

Grease 2 9x5 loaf pans, and preheat the oven to 350.

In a large bowl, combine all the dry ingredients thoroughly. Make a well in the center of the dry mixture, and pour in the starter, oil, milk, eggs, and extract. Mix well to combine everything. Pour into the loaf pans.

Bake 50-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Eat, freeze, or give as gifts!
