Apple Cinnamon Wontons

This one is a Weight Watchers Recipe. See the bottom for point values.

Ingredients

  • 2 servings butter-flavor cooking spray
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and minced
  • 1 Tablespoon packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 24 wonton wrappers (half of a 12oz package)
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 3 cups light vanilla ice cream

This Isn't Even Remotely Chinese

Preheat oven to 350. Coat a baking sheet with the cooking spray.

In a medium bowl, combine the apples, brown sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Toss to coat.

Place the wontons wrappers flat. Drop the apple mixture by teaspoons onto center of each wrapper. Moisten edges of wrapper with wet fingers, fold over one corner to make a triangle. Press edges together to seal. Transfer filled wrappers to baking sheet and coat with baking spray.

Bake until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Place wontons on individual plates and sift with powdered sugar. Serve with ice cream.

Notes and Hints and Stuff

  • Get to the Point
One serving is 4 wontons. These are 4 points per serving, when served with 1/2 cup of light ice cream. Baked wontons alone are 1/2 point each.
