Chai Spices

I can't remember where I got it. I think I picked it up on a local BBS somewhere. Make this up, put it in a nice jar with a ribbon and instructions and give it away as a present!

Ingredients

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper

Spice Up Your Life

Mix all the spices (ground, of course) in a small bowl. Pour the can of condensed milk into the bowl, and mix thoroughly.

Pour mixture into a clean glass jar with screw-on lid. Decorate with ribbons or whatever. If you give it away, be sure to add the instructions!

Instructions

Chai is an Eastern word for "tea". In my book, however, it means "spicy little cup of heaven."

Brew up your favorite tea, strong. (Plain black tea is the usual, but your tastes may vary!) Add a tablespoon of chai mix, stir until completely dissolved, and enjoy! You may add more or less according to your own tastes.

Store covered in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
