We Want Real Food!
|
|
I tend to cook mainly desserts, sweets, and "treat" food. Occasionally,
though, there's a need to feed people real food. And lately I've been cooking more at home because it's cheaper and healthier, so this section is growing fast. It has a few good recipes, and a few "I need to feed people fast" recipes, which aren't gourmet, but will get the job done. I'm also delving into the area of "healthy" cooking. Be warned, I'm a meatatarian...salad is what food eats.
- Chicken and Mushrooms in Cream Sauce: Super dooper cheesey and creamy, lots of flavor, but really easy.
- Dragontail: It's a really big pig in a blanket.
- Garlic Chicken Pizza: That about sums it up, except that I add artichoke hearts.
- Krautstrudel:
It's a hot baked sandwich with sauerkraut and bacon and ham. I hate sauerkraut, but
I love this stuff. Really super tasty, and pretty easy if you use frozen bread dough.
- Lazy Lilith's Lasagna:
Again, there are much better recipes. This one is for all of you who are in
a big hurry and have guests coming, and need something NOW. Cooking is almost
nil, and it comes out pretty tasty.
- Moroccan Chicken:
Mmmm. Chicken, in a sticky honey sauce, eaten with your fingers. I love
Moroccan food, possibly even more than I like Italian food.
- Meatloaf:
Boring, plain old meatloaf. I'm sure there are a thousand more interesting
recipes, but this one is pretty tasty, and you really can't screw it up.
- Pork Burritos: This is a recipe from
Todd's mother's family. It goes over great with large camping groups.
- Red Beans and Rice: A New Orleans dish, recipe from the family.
- Seafood Fettuccini:
Look, look, I'm learning to cook. Not half bad alfredo.
- Shepherd's Pie:
The recipe isn't very specific. Don't be afraid. Exact measurements are for the baking pages, not for entrees. You know how much garlic you like, I don't.
- Ground Turkey Tacos:
Weight Watchers friendly, and damned tasty.
