Pumpkin Patch Corn Maize Ghost Hunting

    Pumpkin Patch Corn Maize
This year was the first time I'd ever visited Sauvie Island. I've been there three or four times so far in the past six months, so that should tell you my opinion of the place. See the See Someplace Else page for more info on the rest of the Island beyond the Maize.

The Maize was a lot of fun. Not as challenging as some I've been through, but they had the added fun of little hint cards, where questions matched key decision points in the maze, and right answers took you the most direct way. There were at least two places where you walked up to a bridge and could look down into the maze.

If you go at night around Halloween, it's open after dark and there are people "haunting" the maze. When we went, it was all people over 18 wandering amok, and it was fun. Go with friends. Scare each other.

    Ghost Hunting
Periodically, one of the local radio stations goes on a Ghost Hunt somewhere. Generally, it's around Halloween, and they find some local "psychic" to go with them. The big thing now appears to be "orb" photos. Dude, can you say "dust mote"? Or "raindrop"? Or even "crap on your lens"? The ones they judge to be "authentic" don't look in any way different from the "obvious fakes." Whatever. It might be entertaining some evening. Knock yourself out. Not literally, of course.
