Early in the spring of 2003, there were several sightings of a quartet of scruffy looking blokes on horseback, galloping around Vancouver, WA and tearing up perfectly respectable peoples' lawns without so much as a by-your- leave. Later, several strange comets appeared in the sky, and the moon turned blood red. It rained toads, and one of the neighbor's cats gave birth to a live turtle. End of the world, you say? Nah, Lilith's just gotten engaged. So. Now that this is done, there's a bit of planning to be had. But, being resourceful, as well as crafty, that's no problem, right? Right? Oy. Now, the Internet is a wonderful tool, but sometimes it gives you a bit more flash than substance, and more links than language. So, a few months into the planning stages, I decided I'd do what every other good little Internet Lemming Bride does...make a wedding page. If you've come looking for lots of links, forget it. You have Google and Yahoo and I'm confident you know how to use them. If you want information on a standard Malibu-Barbie Meets Boy-Band-Ken wedding, forget it. If you want information about my groom or myself, I have a website and a LiveJournal for that...everyone who cares probably knows all the details by now anyway. This is about my wedding planning and theme, and it may have a few bits of interesting advice or pitfalls strewn about, completely by mistake, mind you. It's to be a Renaissance/Medieval/ Fantasy wedding, and both my fiance Todd and I are viewing it as a very large party where we have a much bigger budget than usual and at which we happen to be going to be married. So. That said, if you know us and are curious about what went into planning a themed wedding, welcome aboard. If you don't know us but want some input on planning a Renaissance/Medieval/Fantasy themed (not historically accurate) wedding rather than a lot of links to where to buy stuff, c'mon in. If you're just a voyeur and curious, hey, it takes all kinds.
